26th January 2010

Hi. Well i know its been a just over a week since i have updated. Bloody country towns are not good for mobile internet service.
I have spent the last week in Mount Morgan and Yeppon, both just out of Rockhampton.
Mount Morgan is an old Gold Mining Town. The mine ran from 1883 to 1981 and was the largest Gold Mine in the world. They pulled over 8m oz of gold out of the mountain.
Photos coming soon.
I left Mount Morgan this morning and have started on my way to Townsville. Have stopped in Proserpine for the night.
Chat to you all soon

Was on my way back to Rosewood when I stopped in Boonah. I met up with some guys that were on a day trip. We ended up having lunch and i spent the day touring with them.
We went from Boonah to Rathdowney over to Kyogal ( yes in NSW again) then coming back over the border ranges on The Lions Road into Beaudesert, where we parted ways.
It rained like thier was no tomorrow.
All up in the 2 days I did just under 800km

Today I went to Natural Bridge, where the water has worn through the sandstone and formed a bridge. Its part of the Border Ranges about 30km from Murwillumbah. On my way I did a Tree Top walk in the Tamborine Moutains. After I left Natural Bridge it was getting late in the day when I left so ended up staying on the Tweed River in a town called Chindarah.
